Worth getting the free bundle from them for that alone. But the good thing is it never crashes your host. I prefer the melda one most the time coz it's bigger. This plugin is FREE and is available only within the MFreeEffectsBundle and MTotalBundle! It's in the free pack I have from them, that I paid to be updated. I might be wrong, but I think the melda notepad is free with their free bundle. I would be very wary about using any other type of plugin that does this kind of thing - making notes, they have only ever crashed my host. It is included in the juice pack despite what they say. But it's a good alternative and very stable. They don't have it on their site with the juice pack. I plan on buying this when it goes on sale, or more likely I won't be able to wait, and I'll buy it when the demo runs out!ĭepending on the DAW I'm in, I sometimes use the fruity notepad included with the juice pack from image-line. Melda is modifying it he said so that if it winds up that the eq band is at the noise floor it does not try to boost that and add noise (if I understand that discussion correctly). I used it to boost the main note and reduce the harmonics simultaneously for some harsh resonances that only came out with high volume singing.Īnd it is absurdly simple for the boosts and the and cuts be dynamic - processing only during the high volume notes!Īnd just for grins I ran the plugin through an analyzer, it did not have any measurable distortion at all while tracking. That preset where you can just load it, and the 7 eq bands will dynamically track the main note and each of its harmonics is just like magic. are you sure you need two instances to use them? I mean, that is sweet and you just make a preset for it.I've been demoing MAutodynamicEQ and I saw some M/S options. I love that there are options to go deeper into it, such as dip 50hz and add 100hz of 3rd order, dynamically. Unfortunately but probably for the best, to perform M/S you would need to stack two instances. I rarely use it to boost, so I can't speak too much on sound quality, but it's got good dynamic range for any sidechaining or dynamic frequency based reduction that I need and it's clean. MDynamic EQ is very deep, or can be as simple as you want it. But being able to delay any part of the frequency spectrum and choose what that spectrum is, is very powerful. And I've got pretty much the cream of the crop of VST delays. The kind of things that can come up with is truly inspiring. One that really stand out for me is their MMultiBandDelay. MLimiter is a bit confusing and as much of a weird kind of saturation plugin, as it is a limiter, but that's about it. Even if the interfaces are a bit 'off'.Īs for plugins from them I don't like? None really. I think I mentioned in another melda post recently, it was the free Tremelo they provide in the free bundle that turned me on to the quality on offer here. There's nothing it doesn't work on - vox, gtr, kbd, drums. Well, a personal fave of mine is the MMultiBandTremelo. It can create the most absolutely out of this world sounds - out of nothing at all. They have a nice size collection, so I'm wondering, what else is worth picking up? Any plugins of theirs you don't like? I'm really pleased with Multiband Granular, and I think it's neat the way they put 5 random plugins on sale every week. Before that, I had never heard of this developer. So I recently bought their Multiband Granular plugin after seeing it recommended a lot.
